CON7528: Mobilize Oracle E-Business Suite with Oracle Mobile Platform

Monday, Sep 29, 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM - Moscone West – 3018

Mobile phones are everywhere and are already well on their way to replacing cameras, cash, maps, remote controls, handheld gaming systems, boarding passes, tickets, cash registers, calculators, notepads, and much more! For enterprises, the ubiquity of mobile devices is transforming businesses by providing new channels for end user interaction, leading to dramatic process improvements and faster decision-making.

These trends mean that IT departments are under increasing pressure to deliver mobile enabled solutions to employees and customers. These mobile solutions must be developed, deployed, secured, connected to existing business processes/applications and managed -- all of which bring about a unique set of challenges. While (front end) mobile application development  is getting easier, the complexity to integrate with one or more cloud (or on-premise) based backend systems and complying with IT security policies continues to increase.

In this session, we’ll talk about how Oracle Mobile Platform leverages Oracle Fusion Middleware infrastructure to expose enterprise applications and data as web services and RESTful API’s that allow easy integration between mobile apps and back-end systems.  See how the same platform that you use to develop and maintain your enterprise applications can now be also extended to develop, integrate, secure, deploy, and manage your mobile applications.

We’ll conclude the session with Deloitte talking about the business drivers behind the push for mobility, their experience and best practices -- as well as a demo walk through of the resulting solution -- using the Oracle Mobile Platform.
