So... I just found this web page for the first time. Someone internally posted this link to an article on Oracle's In-memory Column Store.
Besides the fact that it's a great article, showing the advantages of Oracle's In-memory Column Store - How COOL is it that it's testing involves test data from CERN? I mean, how many Oracle database blogs have the following in their content:"That big peak around INV_MASS=90. is caused by electron-positron pairs being produced by the decay of the Z0-boson (link is external), one of the two elementary particles that mediates the weak interaction"
So very cool!! Oh - and the In-memory Column Store testing they did was pretty impressive too.... :)
