Today's world is pretty fast-paced. You can barely arrive at a new restaurant before your friends are texting you to ask, "How was the food!?" Order something from Amazon.com and you'll be inundated with email and texts, telling you when your package is scheduled to arrive. Still, every so often you get surprised! When it happens, it can be so exciting! Yesterday, I put on a light jacket that I hadn't worn since Spring of last year and, BAM, I found a $10 bill in the pocket! WOOT!
This morning, I checked my email and found another surprise. Development has announced the release of Oracle Fusion Middleware's 11.1.1.9.0 version! Just like that, BAM! The release of the new version of Oracle Fusion Middleware brings with it a new release (11.1.1.9.0) of WebCenter Content as well. Light the fires, and bring meat to the feast, .9 has come!
There is one important note to be aware of. Experienced consultants, partners, support engineers, and savy customers will tell you, "Please wait for the first Bundle Patch for Release 11.1.1.9.0 to be available BEFORE upgrading to 11.1.1.9.0. Head their sage advice, don their pearls of wisdom, 11.1.1.9.1 will have many fewer bugs and give you a much more stable platform. This first patch will be available in the short term, so it is worth the wait!
