EMEA Partners: Oracle Cloud Platform: Development Workshop for Partners (JCS, DevCS, MCS)

The Oracle team is pleased to invite your java developers and consultants to a 5-days hands-on workshop on how to develop, deploy and manage Java applications on Oracle Cloud platform. Oracle will organize several 5-days Workshops between October 2015 - May 2016. We invite you to join the workshop InClass or Remotely (avoid travel time and travel costs by joining remotely). These Invite-Only hands-on workshops will be delivered by Oracle Development at No-Fee to Partners. A workshop consists of live presentations, live demos, and hands-on laboratory exercises. IMPORTANT: These workshops are available to selected Oracle Partners with a current OPN Gold Level or higher membership. A fully executed Oracle Cloud Services Training Addendum is required for this workshop. If your company has not previously accepted this addendum, please click here to review and accept the terms and conditions. You should be authorized by your company to accept the legal addendum.

Remote participation is possible. 14th - 18th December, 2015 (Mon-Fri). Remote participation only. 1st - 5th February, 2016 (Mon-Fri). Remote participation only. 28th March - 1st April, 2016 (Mon-Fri). Remote participation only. 25th - 29th April, 2016 (Mon-Fri). Remote participation only. 30th May - 3rd June, 2016 (Mon-Fri). Remote participation only. This 5-day workshop will cover the following topics:

»   Oracle Java Cloud Service

- Develop and Manage Enterprise Java applications
- Oracle Java Cloud Administration – configure, scale, backup 
- Migrate existing on-premise Java application to Oracle Java Cloud

»   Oracle Java Cloud Service - SaaS Extension

- Build Java application to seamlessly extend Oracle Cloud Applications

»  Oracle Developer Cloud Service

- Develop, Collaborate, Manage, and Deploy Code using Developer Cloud Service

»  Oracle Mobile Cloud Service

- Building Mobile Backend, Implementing Custom APIs (Node.JS) 
- Offline Data Storage, Notifications, Connectors, Analytics, SDK and Mobile Application Framework Utility.

Workshop Training Format

Approximately 3-4 hours of presentation and Q&A during AM. Participants will independently work on laboratory activities after the 3-4 hours presentation. You will also have access to a forum where you will be able to post questions. We are monitoring this forum to ensure that you will get prompt assistance as you independently work on assigned laboratory work in the afternoon.

Target audience:

Java Developers, Solution Developers, Enterprise Architects, Technology Consultants. 

Prerequisite:

Audience is expected to know the following before attending the training: 
- Experience developing Web Applications
- Basic knowledge of Java and Web Services
- Knowledge of J2EE concepts and MVC frameworks.

This workshop requires attendees to provide their own laptop with administrator permissions on the laptop to install software.

- Intro to Oracle Jdeveloper
- Java cloud Service Demos
- Mobile Cloud Service Demos

Registration:

Provide your submission to your local Alliances & Channels Manager. Alternatively, provide your submission to your local Alliances & Channels Enablement Manager. Provide the following information: Workshop, Workshop region, Workshop date, InClass or Remote, Partner Company, Participant’s name, Participant’s Corporate Email Address, Resident Country, Participant’s Manager's Corporate Email Address.

Please check possible conflicts with local holidays before registering. Note that some Workshops will take place from Sunday to Thursday (Middle-East and Africa located ones).

Upon Approval participant will receive an email Confirmation. The Confirmation email will contain all logistical information required. Should a Workshop be full, Candidates will be placed on a Waiting List and will be informed. It is recommended that Partners plan months ahead and for groups of participants in order to secure seats in the Workshops.
