We got a chance to sit down with Nick Kritikos, Vice President of Partner Enablement here at Oracle to discuss how partners can make the most out of their OPN Specialization while at COLLABORATE 13, April 7-11, 2013 in Denver, CO. Let’s see what he had to say!
What does OPN Specialization have to do with events like COLLABORATE 13?
When participating in events like COLLABORATE 13, OPN partners are able to do so much more then exhibit and collect business cards.- They can showcase their OPN Specializations and Specialists to further expand their network of contacts by interacting with Oracle customers, solutions providers, consultants, and user group leaders. Each year many OPN Partners submit and also get selected to present in one of the session tracks, some also get asked to present on behalf of the user community at Oracle OpenWorld, while others volunteer in the user community.
- OPN partners also have a unique opportunity this year at COLLABORATE 13 to get certified for free on specific exams at Oracle’s Test Fest. Partners can also meet with experts from Oracle Corporation in the campgrounds, and with OPN representatives onsite.
- OPN Partners also have the opportunity to provide in person feedback, and get further involved in the OPN Specialization program and process. Or perhaps partners would prefer to review their OOW abstract submission ideas since the Oracle OpenWorld 13 Call for Papers closes just after the Collaborate event concludes.
- Don’t be surprised if someone from the OPN team stops by your booth that is showcasing your OPN credentials and Specializations and asks to snap a photo for further recognition and Social Media!
Who puts on the event?
Oracle’s Independent Oracle Users Group(IOUG), theOracle Applications Users Group(OAUG) andQuest International Users Group(Quest), present COLLABORATE 13: Technology and Applications Forum for the Oracle Customer Community. As an educational conference, COLLABORATE 13helps users of the full family of Oracle business applications, database and middleware software, and hardware solutions to gain greater value from their Oracle investments. It’s an event specifically created by Oracle customers for Oracle customers where partners are invited to share and showcase their Oracle expertise.
Where do I learn more?
A paid registration through the IOUG, the OAUG or Quest entitles you to attend the educational sessions of all three organizations, network and stay current the latest education and best practices from the user community on Oracle product technology. There are a number of ways partners may wish to take advantage, and can go to the COLLABORATE 13 website to learn more.
So whether you’re an OPN Partner, or are just local to the area, you and your team can take advantage of getting certified for free on specific exams. Visit Oracle’s Test Fest and watch Nick’s short video below to learn more!
We’ll See You There!
