We’re pleased to announce the availability of StorageTek half height SAS HP LTO 6 tape drives for rackmount and desktop configurations, as well as full height FC IBM LTO6 drives supporting the AS400 operating system. Dual port conversion kits for LTO6 full height drives are also available. The StorageTek LTO 6 tape drive exhibits the following improvements:

- 2.5 TB of native data capacity on one
LTO 6 cartridge, an increase of 66%
improvement over LTO 5
- Fastest in the mid-range at 160 MB/sec (uncompressed), 14% faster than LTO 5
- All LTO drives are capable of reading three generations of media and writing to two generations.
