The Recycling and Economic Development Initiative of South Africa (REDISA) is a non-profit organization driving to develop a sustainable South African tire recycling industry to manage responsibly and fiscally the full lifecycle of tires. From creating jobs to driving a viable and environmentally sustainable industry for waste management, REDISA has delivered tremendous social and economic value to the region.
From adoption of could and mobile to leveraging GPS technology and more, REDISA is also a gold standard for use of technology to driving value. Recently, REDISA was awarded the 2014 Oracle Sustainability Innovation Award. The award recognizes the innovative use of Oracle technology to address the global sustainability challenge. And the use of Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Applications to power their initiative makes this a wonderful Oracle AppAdvantage story.
